Rose Garden Update - 2021

Changes in the Historic Rose Garden

  • Roses have been reduced in size - many cut to the ground by city staff
  • Trellises have been removed
  • Weeds have reappeared
  • Some roses have been removed
  • Many companion plants have disappeared
  • Roses are no longer labeled
  • Historic Rose Garden sign has been removed
  • City staff have stated the 'historic' designation is no longer appropriate.
  • Volunteers are excluded from working  with plants.
