These roses will be offered for sale at the Open Garden April 12 |
|
Formal tours of the Historic
Rose Garden are scheduled for 10 :00 & 11:15 a.m. and 12:45
p.m.
They will be conducted by Anita Clevenger, Barbara Oliva and Judy
Eitzen. The best view of the garden is obtained by walking through the plots. Walking tours will be conducted at the times above. In addition, an electric cart will be provided for those who are unable to walk very far. Note that the cart cannot cover all areas of the Rose Garden, so a brief tour of all three gardens will be given to those on the cart. |
Sales
|
This
event is our primary fundraiser to support the Historic Rose
Garden. Volunteers have propagated many of the roses in the Historic Rose Garden. These new plants will be offered for sale. Prices : $10.00 for gallons, $ 5.00 for 4" pots. A catalog will be available on this website in early April. We will also have rose-related items; shirts, aprons, books, etc. available |
Raffle & Auction
|
A
raffle of various books, roses and decorative and other donated items
will be held at 1:30. Tickets will be available throughout the
event. You do not need to be present to win. A couple of special roses and other items will be offered as a silent auction throughout the event. Again, you do not need to be present to win |
Photographs, People and Perfume
|
Weather
permitting, there will be plenty of opportunities to take lots of
bee-uuu-ti-ful photos of these remarkable roses, so be sure to bring
your camera. There will be lots of rosy talk and a chance to visit with other rose lovers; a small library will be available to answer every rosy question. Or, just sit back and experience the heavenly perfume wafting over the garden - it's unbelievable! |
Volunteers
|
A
cadre of volunteers has been working very hard to bring this event to
you, so please don't disappoint them. Come early and plan to
stay long enough to enjoy the whole event! |
